Payroll Assistant

Worcester 30K - 35K Contract

We are looking for an experienced payroll assistant to work in our busy payroll bureau providing payroll services to our clients. This role is being offered on a 12 month fixed term contract and will require onsite working. We are able to consider full or part time working.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the completion of weekly and monthly payrolls mainly using Sage Payroll
  • Dealing with any client queries regarding their payroll including starters, leavers, SMP, SPP, SSP, CIS and PAYE reconciliations
  • Preparation of year end payroll returns
  • Helping clients deal with the auto enrolment pension process
  • Providing support to our accounts and tax teams in payroll matters
  • Dealing with HMRC regarding our clients’ PAYE and NIC compliance
