As Finance Manager / Management Accountant you will be joining an SME business based in Redditch, responsible for the financial management of this Β£8m turnover business. This will require, full time onsite working and allows full exposure to accounting functions.
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Prepare and issue monthly management accounts.
- Present and review Accounts to the Board on a quarterly basis, including any reforecasting.
- Responsible for year-end audit
- Prepare various reports and analysis as required.
- Produce the year end audit file and upload information to the Auditors portal.
- Balance all year end control accounts.
- Corporation Tax and S455 returns
- Prepare annual budget from sales figure forecasts provided.
- Prepare and issue quarterly P&L reforecasts to the Board.
- Annual Insurance review
- Monitor cash and bank balances and report to Directors on issues.
- Issue daily cash movements to the Directors via email including a graph of daily changes.
- Monitor treasury bank accounts and ensure adequate funding of main account to meet commitments.
- Produce an updated 13-week cashflow forecast monthly.
- Monitor and support the Accounts receivable, Accounts payable and payroll functions within the finance department (2 FTEβs)

- Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)
- Prepare overall PAYE/NIC/CIS summary for payment.
- Reconcile the CIS control and PAYE control monthly. Export/Import compliance

- Prepare the Stock, WIP and COS provision valuations in line with the agreed GP % Margin and adjustment stock summary for review at the Board Meeting
- Review Overhead costs and look for cost savings where appropriate.
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register and calculate monthly Depreciation thereon.
- Monitor Capex Spending and arrange finance as required by Directors.
- Ensure all accruals, prepayments, HP interest, Loan interest and bad debt provision journals are posted on a monthly.
