Lead Accountant Financial Services, Band 8b (£54,764 - £63,862), Hybrid working available.
The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust are one of the biggest and busiest NHS Trusts in the country, serving the one million residents of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland – and increasingly specialist services over a much wider area.
The Trust have been on a tremendous Improvement journey in recent years. With significant local and national support, the Trust has been part of the Recovery Support Programme and has made a 20% investment in the Finance team, investing in training and development, improving the culture and creating an environment that's positive and supportive, and bolstering resources to ensure it is well sourced and supported to deliver a best in class finance function.
As such they are now looking to appoint a Lead Accountant Financial Services (8b), to manage the transactional services and financial services within the Trust ensuring that the Trust meets its duties in these areas.
The Lead Accountant Financial Services will lead on the production of annual and monthly transactional and financial service dashboard reporting and monitoring returns. They will ensure that appropriate systems of financial control for transactional and financial service areas are in place and operating effectively.
The Lead Accountant Financial Services will deputise for the Assistant Director of Finance - Financial Services in these areas where necessary, including representing the Trust at internal and external committees/meetings at a senior level, and will be the lead individual for the transactional and financial services.
